If you are looking for a different way to experience Easter, the El Brujo Archaeological Complex, home to more than 14,000 years of history and culture, is the ideal destination. Located on Peru’s northern coast, this millenary site is preparing to welcome visitors on Thursday, April 17, Friday, April 18, and Saturday, April 19, 2025, with a special program full of free activities for the whole family.
The El Brujo Archaeological Complex is located in the district of Magdalena de Cao, in the province of Ascope, department of La Libertad. This site not only preserves emblematic monuments such as the Huaca Cao Viejo, but also safeguards cultural evidence spanning from the earliest inhabitants of the region to the colonial period. The site’s archaeological richness makes it a point of reference for those seeking to deepen their understanding of the ancient civilizations that once thrived along Peru’s northern coast.
One of the most remarkable discoveries at this archaeological complex is the Lady of Cao, a high-ranking woman of the Moche culture. Visiting El Brujo during Easter is an opportunity to reconnect with our roots and enjoy meaningful moments with family.
For three consecutive days, El Brujo will offer a free program for visitors of all ages to enjoy cultural, educational, and artistic activities. These experiences have been designed to foster learning, creativity, and a sense of belonging to cultural heritage.
