About the El Brujo Archaeological Complex

The El Brujo Archaeological Complex is a treasure that encapsulates 14 thousand years of history on the northern Peruvian coast. The Mochica culture, which flourished between the years 200 and 800 A.D., stands out for its artistic dexterity and technological advances.

If you are already in Magdalena de Cao, we invite you to get to know and tour the new photo gallery at Pasaje de la Cultura, a collaborative initiative between the local community and the Wiese Foundation to celebrate the living culture of the locality. You can also go ahead and visit the second International Festival of Mural Art, to be held in Magdalena de Cao from July 23 to 29, 2024. A collective of national and foreign artists, including local artists, will once again beautify the streets of the town, inspired by the motifs and techniques of El Brujo.
